SEWS has its own hydrotherapy pool onsite, which is used on a weekly basis to conduct PDHPE lessons.
Hydrotherapy has vast benefits for student who present with physical disabilities. The hydrotherapy pool is an ideal environment for exercises and can result in decreased muscle spasm, pain reduction and increased strength.
The pool is used by the students in the ASU as part of their PDHPE curriculum focusing on fundamental movement and social interactions skills.
These programs are possible due to the kind donations of the SEWS Association, which supports additional staff to ensure effective and safe practices.
The hydrotherapy pool is hired to local groups. If you would like to hire this facility please contact the school, however precedence is given to the school timetable.
