Distance Education
Distance Education
At the Distance Education Support Unit (DESU), we are dedicated to providing flexible and inclusive education to students across New South Wales. We deliver high-quality education to students who engage in learning using an online platform.
We offer a wide range of online sessions designed to foster interaction and collaboration, enabling students to connect with both their teachers and peers. To further enrich the learning experience, we organise termly cluster excursions to various locations around Sydney and beyond. These excursions provide valuable opportunities for face-to-face interaction, strengthening the connections between students and their teachers.
Whether online or in person, our goal is to create a supportive, engaging, and interactive environment accessible to every student. Distance education can be a rewarding and valuable experience for all students.
Microsoft Teams
Online learning is accessed via Microsoft Teams. During your induction to DESU, our Technology Coordinator will guide and support you in learning how to access your classes and use Teams to complete your schoolwork.
Seesaw
Seesaw is one of our school's digital learning and communication platform. It allows teachers to safely share photos, videos and updates from classroom and whole-school activities. It also enable students to engage in online learning activities tailored to their needs.
This gives families a safe and supportive way to see their child engaged in learning, celebrate achievements and stay connected to school life. Seesaw helps strengthen our home and school partnership and keeps communication clear, positive and accessible.
